About CAIMA

Founded in 1982, California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates, Inc. has grown to 68 radiologists who provide subspecialty expertise at 11 hospitals and multiple outpatient imaging centers in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as nationally through its subspecialty teleradiology practice. CAIMA’s mission is to work with our hospital partners and outpatient centers to serve our communities and to provide state of the art, accurate, comprehensive and compassionate radiology services to our patients.

Our Services

CAIMA radiologists, most of whom have had fellowship training after their radiology residency, specialize in diagnosing and treating disease and injury by using medical imaging techniques. All of our facilities are accredited by the American College of Radiology. We act as expert consultants to referring doctors and patients to choose the proper exam, interpret and report the imaging studies, and correlate the results of the tests. Our practice includes:

CAIMA Interventional Radiology at California Pacific Medical Center launches internventional radiology clinic

In conjunction with the Advanced Organ Therapies service line at CPMC, CAIMA interventional radiology now offers convenient clinic visits for preprocedural and postprocedural follow up, for services including:

CAIMA radiologists at Rectal Cancer Center of Excellence at CPMC

California Pacific Medical Center was recently accredited as a Rectal Cancer Center of Excellence by the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer of the American College of Surgeons, becoming only the 8th accredited Center of Excellence in the United States.

CAIMA radiologists Dr. Christopher Kagay and Dr. Jean Yeh provide expert interpretation of rectal cancer protocol pelvic MRI exams performed as part of the multidisciplinary assessment of rectal tumors performed at the Center. State -of-the-art protocols performed on new 3T MRI machines in the recently opened Van Ness and Mission Bernal Campuses of CPMC, in conjunction with Drs. Kagay and Yeh's extensive experience interpreting these complex exams, ensures the most accurate and complete preoperative rectal imaging possible.
