Our Physicians

Dr. Vida Campbell

Dr. Campbell received her MD from George Washington University.   She did her residency in Diagnostic Radiology followed by a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Since practicing in Marin, she has dedicated herself to the imaging components of the Breast Cancer program.   She has served as the medical director of the Breast Diagnostic Center of Marin since 2005. With her background in MRI Dr. Campbell was instrumental in development of the Breast MRI program associated with the Breast Health Center. She also has a special interest in high risk breast cancer screening.

Dr. William J. DeMartini

Dr. DeMartini received his MD degree from Chicago Medical School where he was elected to the AOA Honor Medical Society. He did his radiology residency and additional fellowship in CT and Ultrasound at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr DeMartini has been practicing radiology in Marin County for 33 years and is past president of the Marin Medical Society and past president of the California Radiological Society.

Dr. Philip Kurzman

Dr. Kurzman received his MD degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Following his residency training in radiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in vascular & interventional radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Kurzman is board-certified in both diagnostic radiology and vascular & interventional radiology. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Kurzman’s special clinical interests include minimally invasive oncological interventions and uterine fibroid embolization.

Dr. Donna Hoghooghi

Dr. Hoghooghi earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She completed both her radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at UCSF where she served as Chief Resident in the Department of Radiology. In 2003, she was certified by the American Board of Radiology and earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in neuroradiology in 2005. She has presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Neuroradiology and has served as a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Ralph Koenker

Dr. Koenker received his MD from the University of California at San Diego. His residency training took place at Massachusettes General Hospital, Harvard Medical school. He subsequently performed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco.  In addition to his board certification in Diagnostic Radiology he holds Certificates of Additional Qualification (CAQs) in Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology.

Dr. Natalya Lvoff

Dr. Lvoff received her MD degree from Northwestern University Medical School , where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society, and was an Albert Schweitzer Fellow. She completed her residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Breast Imaging at UCSF in 2008. She then joined CAIMA as a staff radiologist, where she pioneered the use of MRI guided breast biopsy at Marin General Hospital.

Dr. Adam Nevitt

Dr.Nevitt graduated AOA from Rush Medical College in Chicago before completing his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. He served as Chief Resident and authored several medical papers and articles. He completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCSF. Before joining the North Bay Division, Dr. Nevitt practiced at Seton Medical Centerwhere he served as the Director of Interventional Radiology and subsequently Chief of Radiology. Dr. Nevitt has performed over 20,000 interventional procedures over 14 years of practice.

Dr. Dennis Orwig

Dr Orwig received his MD from the University of California San Francisco graduating with admission to the AOA honor society. He continued at UCSF with internship in Internal Medicine,  residency in Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship training in body imaging (Ultrasound, CT and MRI). He authored several articles in peer review journals and has presented at National Radiology meetings. Dr Orwig has served as the Medical Director of Imaging services, and Chief of the Department of Medical Imaging  at Marin General Hospital almost continuously since 1995.  He serves on a number of medically related Boards In Marin County including the Board of Directors of Meritage Medical Network and Marin Medical Practice Concepts. Dr Orwig has a special interest in Ultrasound and the use of imaging in guidance of procedures.

Dr. Robert Wirth

Dr. Wirth received his M.D. degree from Columbia University in New York City. He subsequently completed his Radiology residency at Stanford University. This was followed by a fellowship in body imaging also at Stanford University (including Ultrasound, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging). Since completing his training he has worked as a general radiologist with California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates. Dr. Wirth is an important member of the imaging departments at all of our hospital practices as well as a key member of the breast imaging team at the Breast Diagnostic Center of Marin in Greenbrae.

Dr. Lisa Chu

Dr. Chu received her MD degree from University of California San Francisco (UCSF) where she was also a Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellow. She completed her residency training at University of California Davis Medical Center where she served as chief resident. She returned to UCSF for her fellowship training in abdominal imaging. Dr. Chu has a special interest in building the abdominal imaging service at Marin Advanced Imaging and Marin General Hospital, particularly in abdominal MRI.
